When I first read about Burnout Crash I was skeptical. The crashing element of Burnout is something which set it apart from other racers since it's first inception back in 2001 but would it hold up as a complex enough idea to form a whole arcade game? The answer: yes, yes it does. One thing is for sure, this installment of the Burnout series is NOT a driving game. In fact there is not even a ke... more.Bug Wings Review

In a world where Angry Birds reigns supreme, it is no wonder that pretenders aim to steal its crown, just like the pigs stole the eggs. Bug Wings has taken the flick and land mechanic of Angry Birds (minus the kamikaze nature) but fused it with another iOS game staple, using the gyroscope to fly which can make even the timid of game want to throw his or her iPhone out of the window in a fit of ... more.Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent Review

Puzzle Agent isn’t your typical Telltale game. Usually known for hilarious, episodic, point-and-click adventure games, this is an entirely different affair. Released as part of their pilot project and with a sequel on the way, Puzzle Agent is more Professor Layton than Sam and Max. And by ‘more Professor Layton,’ I mean the titles share a lot more in common than their quirky settings and hat... more.Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP Review

I had a hard time thinking about how I’d start this review for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. I could’ve described how I stroked my nonexistent beard, ruminating on what overly-academic jargon I could use, such as opening it by describing its literary style and linguistic mish-mashing as being homologous with the poetics of Twitter pop culture. Or I could’ve pegged it as a rather Bo... more.Championship Manager 1980s Legends Review

Championship Manager 2011 for the iPhone was a huge disappointment for me. All the focus seemed to be shifted to the UI, which was perfect for a mobile platform, but in turn the game engine felt the burden of it. An extremely buggy player search feature, unrealistic transfers, absolutely terrible game animation sequences and some very peculiar results to boot. So, I asked myself, why do I have ... more.Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I Review

Sonic 4 is set to be the Sonic game we’ve all been waiting for since the 90’s. We’ve had years of bizarre Sonic games being pumped out by Sonic Team that have tried and failed at brining life back to this blue hedgehog but have they managed it with Sonic 4? A major difference found in Sonic 4 is the ability to level select, upon completing the first level of the game you’re given access... more.Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge Review

The Monkey Island series is best known for its witty humour, its stunning charm and its ability to force you to think outside the box. Now if you don’t know what Monkey Island is, firstly, where have you been all this time? And secondly, shame on you. The Monkey Island games are a series of point-and-click adventure games that follow the misadventures of aspiring pirate Guybrush Threepwood. I... more.Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction (Mobile) Review

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a fan of the graphics on the iPod/iPhone, however I do understand that with such a small device there are limitations which is why I played Splinter Cell: Conviction with an open mind. After finding the 360 version very enjoyable I wondered if the iPod/iPhone version could match the standard it set. On first look the game’s graphics are better than ... more.Jumpa Review

Jumpa is a new game for the iPhone/iTouch from AppaZoo. I’m not going to lie to you, initially this game bored the life out of me. As with some games though, it takes a little getting used to, just a bit longer than most. Jumpa is a simple, refreshing rhythm game which utilises the simplest tool of a touch screen, tapping. Because of this simplicity it makes the game available for anyone to p... more.Iron Man 2 (Mobile) Review

I am a massive fan of the Iron Man franchise, especially the John Favreau movies. Bringing a good mix of comic favourites and blockbuster action to the screen. With the second instalment in the series, imaginatively called Iron Man 2, having launched into cinemas this last Thursday (29th April 2010), it seemed only right to wait to see the film before reviewing the game. So, what about the game... more.
