Lord of the Rings: War in the North is the latest game instalment I the multi-million dollar franchise that is Tolkein’s Middle-Earth. Developed by Snowblind Studios, it follows a trio of dwarf, elf, and man as they walk either just ahead or just behind the path of the original Fellowship of the Ring, experiencing the events of both the three films and the books, albeit from a markedly different... more. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review

Oh the places you will go, there is nothing more daunting in a Bethesda RPG than spending those first hours creating your character then being thrust into a world with little more than a butter knife and Skyrim is seriously no exception. Building upon the stellar success and scale of Oblivion, Skyrim has done what its predecessor didn't and made a world that is full of life. Each trek from city... more.F1 2011 Review

Last year saw the king of motor sport, Formula One, appear on next-gen consoles finally and it despite it's minor flaws and niggles, it was a wholly successful title for the ever reliable Codemasters. The UK based developers listened to the fans and promised to fix the issues and create a greater racing experience in F1 2011 - so have Codies kept their word and created a game worthy of the winners... more.Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Review

One of the most hard fought battles in video game history returns again this year, with Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA going head to head to see which can claim to be this years top football franchise. In recent times, it has been a retched period for PES as it's fallen way behind FIFA on every level. But this year, Konami promises to be back with a bang and return to their PlayStation 2 glory days... more.Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Review

I don’t know a lot about the Warhammer 40,000 universe, but thanks to Relic’s latest game, I know one thing for certain: Space Marines are tough. Really tough. Despite wearing more armour than your average army tank, they’re able to stomp into the heart of a battle, tear apart dozens of enemies single-handedly, and move onto the next fight with barely a hair out of place. In short, you would... more.Driver: San Francisco Review

There are few things as exciting as a good car chase. The screech of tyre on tarmac, the clash of metal on metal, the crunch of bumper on bumper – it’s exhilarating. Driver was the first title to truly capture this thrill as a videogame, but as it went on the series lost its way. It started putting too much focus on clumsily implemented on-foot sections and gunplay, culminating with the astoni... more.Alice: Madness Returns Review

Sometimes you just know a game’s going to get a sequel – for example, finishing the first Tomb Raider; it was clear there was scope to do more with the character. But sometimes you play a game that seems unlikely to get a follow-up, and it makes you sad. This was my experience with American McGee’s Alice back in 2000. It wasn’t the best game ever by any stretch, but it was fun and distinct... more.Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent Review

Puzzle Agent isn’t your typical Telltale game. Usually known for hilarious, episodic, point-and-click adventure games, this is an entirely different affair. Released as part of their pilot project and with a sequel on the way, Puzzle Agent is more Professor Layton than Sam and Max. And by ‘more Professor Layton,’ I mean the titles share a lot more in common than their quirky settings and hat... more.Duke Nukem Forever Review

What’s the most powerful force in the universe? Some would say guilt. Cheesy movies would have you believe it’s love. They’re both wrong – it’s nostalgia. Nostalgia can help you overlook major problems. Nostalgia can make you laugh at things you would normally find irritatingly juvenile. And it’s nostalgia that will likely define exactly how much you enjoy Duke Nukem Forever. For ga... more.Red Faction: Armageddon Review

Red Faction Armageddon is a frustrating game. Not because it’s particularly difficult, or tainted by technical issues. It’s frustrating because every so often, it displays flashes of brilliance – little hints that this game could have been something truly special. But these moments of greatness are buried by poor design decisions and repetition, and instead of being special, the game ends up... more.
