I die a lot in games. It’s a source of great shame, considering the amount of time I spend on this hobby, but the fact remains I often spend more time looking forlornly at my character’s bullet-ridden backside than I do experiencing victory. A combination of an RPG and puzzle game seems like an odd mix of genres, but with the Puzzle Quest series, it works and works well. When it comes to puzzle games, developer Infinite Interactive are definitely no strangers. Puzzle Chronicles combines the standard puzzle gameplay with an element of roleplaying and combat. The game offers a fair amount of levels, each with their own RPG-esque storyline. The games gem matching gameplay is fun and addictive; however visuals are sub-par and often detract from the fun of the game. ... more.
