Space Ark is an upcoming arcade puzzle game from Strawdog Studios with the bold attempt of rebooting the arcade games of the 80’s. As soon as the first online dogfight loads up and the chaotic scene of an online community just days old hits you, the 800 Microsoft Point investment will have been fully justified. For an Xbox Live Arcade title priced at the lower end of the spectrum, the graphics and sound will immediately grab the player's interest and never let go. Smart Bomb Interactive have had something of an uninterestin... more.Doom II Review

Doom II is the latest in a series of vintage shooters, including its predecessor and Wolfenstein, to make its way on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace. Its1994 graphics and gameplay are a stark contrast to the modern archetypes of the Call of Duty franchise or its many imitators, but remain fun to play and create a sense of nostalgia that only the grandfather of contemporary shooters could create. ... more.Metal Slug XX Review

Pricing on the Xbox Live Marketplace can range from the pleasantly surprising, to the downright absurd. Hiking the price of an XBLA title much higher than it deserves can seriously hurt it’s sales, and it’s reputation with the community. Despite being lorded as one of the greatest indie games to date, 2009’s “Braid” saw quite a bit of confusion and anger at it’s 1200 Microsoft Point re... more.Voodoo Dice Review

Voodoo Dice is a relatively simple puzzle game. You control a die and the aim of the game is a straightforward case of getting your die from one end of the stage to the other. However; various puzzles, obstacles and enemies are preventing that from being an easy journey. The main premise of the game is to make your way to your goal by clearing other dice blocking the path by landing adjacent to th... more.Ben 10 Alien Force: Rise of Hex Review

Ben 10 Alien Force: Rise of Hex is the successor to a number of previous games based on the indomitable Cartoon Network brand, Ben 10, which features Ben Tennyson as a boy who discovers an ‘Omnitrix’ device which gives him the ability to transform into a number of alternate alien forms. Sounds like a pretty good premise for a videogame, yeah? Well it seems it’s a premise that the developers,... more.AQUA Review

AQUA is the first release by new indie developers, Games Distillery and is available exclusively for Xbox LIVE Arcade. The game features naval combat between ships in an arcade dual-stick shooting format, similar to that of Geometry Wars or Asteroids. Although AQUA is not quite to the standard of Geometry Wars, it’s definitely still a good deal of fun. The games storyline is somewhat reminisc... more.Things on Wheels Review

Things on Wheels is the second remote control car racing game from developers Load Inc. and is the successor to Mad Tracks. Things on Wheels has removed all the variety that Mad Tracks offered and focused simply on racing. The game is host to some incredibly loose driving mechanics and has the feel of the old Micro Machine racing video games, but not in a good way. The game features somewhat ... more.Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition Review

Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition was originally released for PC last year; its success during 2009 encouraged an Xbox LIVE arcade port of the game. Zeno Clash is a 3D brawler from a first-person perspective somewhat comparable to Mirror’s Edge however the focus is more in the fighting rather than the movement. If nothing else, the game definitely gets points for innovation. Zeno Clash follows a y... more.
