Lord of the Rings: War in the North is the latest game instalment I the multi-million dollar franchise that is Tolkein’s Middle-Earth. Developed by Snowblind Studios, it follows a trio of dwarf, elf, and man as they walk either just ahead or just behind the path of the original Fellowship of the Ring, experiencing the events of both the three films and the books, albeit from a markedly different... more.Joe Danger: Special Edition Review

While it's easy to look at Joe Danger: Special Edition and assume it's a kid's version of XBLA smash Trials HD, that would be doing it a severe disservice. It is in fact far better than that would imply, and perhaps surprisingly, far deeper and more intricate than Trials. While RedLynx's title was undoubtedly a fantastic, insanely addictive game with perfectly polished level design, it was far fro... more. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review

Oh the places you will go, there is nothing more daunting in a Bethesda RPG than spending those first hours creating your character then being thrust into a world with little more than a butter knife and Skyrim is seriously no exception. Building upon the stellar success and scale of Oblivion, Skyrim has done what its predecessor didn't and made a world that is full of life. Each trek from city... more.WWE ’12 Review

WWE games have been stale for years now. As a fan, I have been looking on at the FIFA franchise in jealousy at their fancy collision engine and graphical updates and then I turn to look at my copy of Smackdown vs. Raw like it was a disappointing child who wants at home and gets high and doesn't bother to whilst the FIFA is off climbing the career ladder. Earlier this year THQ attempted to cas... more.F1 2011 Review

Last year saw the king of motor sport, Formula One, appear on next-gen consoles finally and it despite it's minor flaws and niggles, it was a wholly successful title for the ever reliable Codemasters. The UK based developers listened to the fans and promised to fix the issues and create a greater racing experience in F1 2011 - so have Codies kept their word and created a game worthy of the winners... more.Pinball FX 2 Sorcerer’s Lair DLC Review

Many of you will be aware that one of my most favourite XBLA title is Pinball FX 2 from Zen Studios. Not only am I a fan, but it's up there as one of my most played Xbox games, racking up an impressive 130 hours of play time. So when a new table is available, I'm as giddy as a Call of Duty fanboy when a map pack is released. Recently we've seen another Marvel table in the guise of Captain America ... more.Burnout Crash! When I first read about Burnout Crash I was skeptical. The crashing element of Burnout is something which set it apart from other racers since it's first inception back in 2001 but would it hold up as a complex enough idea to form a whole arcade game? The answer: yes, yes it does. One thing is for sure, this installment of the Burnout series is NOT a driving game. In fact there is not even a ke... more.Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Review

One of the most hard fought battles in video game history returns again this year, with Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA going head to head to see which can claim to be this years top football franchise. In recent times, it has been a retched period for PES as it's fallen way behind FIFA on every level. But this year, Konami promises to be back with a bang and return to their PlayStation 2 glory days... more.Mercury Hg Review

Mercury Hg is the latest incarnation of the Mercury Madness franchise which puts you in control of a solitary globule of mercury which needs to get from A to B in perilous fashion. Initially the game instantly reminded me of another Xbox Live Arcade title - Marble Blast Ultra, but it isn't quite marbles under a Bunsen burner. The first difference comes in how you move the mercury. Instead of ta... more.Gears of War 3 Review

Gears of War 3? Gears of effing-War 3. As if you didn't already know, Gears of War 3 is the finale in Epic's epic trilogy. The game was cited to take the series out with a bang and, my god, what a big bang it delivered. I mean, we're not just talking your average big bang, we're talking the big bang two. The game's story picks straight up where Gears of War 2 left off with more gut-wrenching... more.
