Alan Wake Review

Alan Wake – the game that almost never was. It’s been five years since Alan Wake was originally announced at E3 but it was in 2009 that the game finally came to light and we started to see what it was actually about and it looked amazing. Remedy have quite openly announced that Alan Wake was hugely inspired by the likes of Twin Peaks, LOST and several Stephen King novels – which to any horro... more.Just Cause 2 Review

I’m going to be honest; I was very sceptical about Just Cause 2. Not because what I had seen looked bad, I just didn’t enjoy the first Just Cause game. Square Enix promised us an explosive third-person shooter and they gave us just that, quite literally. Just Cause 2 is all about explosions and creating havoc; so much so that to progress through the game a sufficient amount of chaos must be ca... more.Tecmo Bowl Throwback Review

Tecmo Bowl Throwback is an XBLA and PSN remake of 90's NES classic Tecmo Super Bowl, an American Football game that has received a lot of over the years. Appearing in various Top NES Title lists across the internet, it wouldn't take an analyst to see a HD remake coming. Here it is, charging onto your consoles for download at a reasonable 800 MSP, with near-everything coming from the original intac... more.Puzzle Chronicles Review

When it comes to puzzle games, developer Infinite Interactive are definitely no strangers. Puzzle Chronicles combines the standard puzzle gameplay with an element of roleplaying and combat. The game offers a fair amount of levels, each with their own RPG-esque storyline. The games gem matching gameplay is fun and addictive; however visuals are sub-par and often detract from the fun of the game. ... more. After Burner Climax Review

SEGA just keep on rolling out some great arcade titles don't they? Last year we saw Outrun Arcade grace our presence with some fantastic visuals and some brilliant game play that made us come back for more. Now it's After Burner Climax. When I had heard that this game was going to be released I immediately fell in love with the crisp visuals and the arcade game play and knew that this game could p... more. The Misadventures of P.B. Now I like pie, and I like puzzles – maybe that’s why I enjoyed The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom so much. Ever since its announcement back at E3 2008, Winterbottom has been one of the most exciting indie games to watch. However, 2K Games liked it so much that they decided to publish it, so I guess you could say that it’s not really an indie game anymore. Maybe the folks at 2K like pie ... more.Aliens vs. Predator Review

Combining the Alien and the Predator franchises in a video game has always been a winning combination and one Rebellion have attempted twice. Alien vs. Predator boasts three campaigns, each focused around the three species; Aliens, Predators, Marines (humans). The 1999 release of Alien vs. Predator, also developed by Rebellion, was received well by fans of the franchises so there was a lot riding ... more.Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction Review

Just to be clear from the start; Splinter Cell: Conviction is not like its predecessors. It’s not even a distant cousin to the prequels. Its more like… an angry uncle. A very angry uncle. After being trapped in development hell for four years since its initial announcement in May 2007, the iconic Mr. Fisher has gone from a ragged, tramp-like figure all the way to what is now possibly his coole... more.Lazy Raiders Review

Lazy Raiders is the latest title from Sarbakan Studios, a company not exactly renowned for quality. Previous titles include Back at the Barnyard: Hide 'n' Go Milk, The Incredibles: Save the Day! and Littlest Pet Shop: My Teeniest Town. It is something of a change of pace for the studio then, as their latest game Lazy Raiders, is actually rather fun. You control lead charater Dr. Diggabone, or ra... more.Trials HD Review

Trials HD is developer Red Lynx’s first Xbox Live Arcade title, released originally during 2009’s ‘Summer of Arcade’ promotion; the concept is simple - get the player-controlled dirt bike from one end of the track to the other, with as little accidents as possible and whilst travelling at the fastest speed you can. It’s also probably worth mentioning; if you plan on getting this, make su... more.
