ilomilo Review

As puzzle games go, you'll be hard pressed to find one cuter than ilomilo. It's inescapable - right from the main menu, through the music, the visuals and art style, the characters, the loading screens, the quirky humour, the puzzles themselves and even the whole story; the entire game is just so damn cute. But the phrase "looks can be deceiving" has never been more apt. While the puzzles start... more.Halo: Reach Noble Map Pack Review

The Noble Map Pack is the first addition to Halo: Reach’s popular online multiplayer. For 800 Microsoft Points, buyers will receive three brand new maps; Tempest, Breakpoint and Anchor 9. Are they worth your hard earned pennies? I spent a few evenings getting absolutely slaughtered in these fresh environments, to see how these maps played. The first of the maps, Tempest is a relatively large ... more.Tron: Evolution Review

Back in 1982, Disney released one of the most futuristic looking movies of that time and was a massive success. That movie of course, was Tron – now some 28 years later, a sequel is all set to hit the big screens with Tron: Legacy and to accompany the upcoming release, the customary movie tie-in game has been released in the form of Tron: Evolution. Does the game do justice to the franchise or d... more.Apache: Air Assault Review

Pitching a new game with a very specific target audience can be a risky investment for producers and publishers. Giving funding to a product that on one hand can potentially get definite sales from a hardcore audience, yet in the other may not appeal to enough outside of the niche to constitute a decent enough turnover. Thus many games in niche genres can fall short of expectations or hopes due to... more.Megamind: Ultimate Showdown Review

Every year sees a new animated movie appear on the big screen and in turn, we have a resulting video game spin-off that more often than not are a miss rather than a hit. Trying to break this trend is Dreamworks' big movie for 2010, “Megamind” brought to us by THQ. The first thing that struck me upon playing the game was that none of the stellar cast from the movie appear in the game, so the... more.Diamond Dan Review

First impressions can be deceiving, and this is most certainly the case with new indie game from GrendelGames, Diamond Dan. Though you may at first ignore this title, pass it off as another indie game you might stumble across on your mother’s computer whilst trying to fix her internet connection and carry on with your day, this is most certainly not the case. A tough, occasionally infuriating li... more.Trials HD – Big Thrills DLC Review

Big Thrills is the second DLC for million-selling XBLA game Trials HD, adding forty brand new levels of varying difficulty and six tournaments to the addictive and hair-pullingly frustrating game. Ten of the tracks were contest winning designs created by the fans, giving a wider exposure to some of the best the community has to offer. At a mere 400 MSP, it's quite a bargain. Ranging through all... more.Truth or Lies Review

Do you remember the game you used to play, probably as a teenager, called Truth or Dare? The game which usually ended up with a bunch of people naked and snogging? Well, some bright spark at THQ has decided to take this concept and create Truth or Lies. Truth or Lies is primarily a party game for you and up to seven chums to grab a USB microphone and the opportunity see if each other are giving... more.Splatterhouse Review

Splatterhouse is Namco Bandai’s remake of the 1988 arcade beat ‘em up by the same name. As before, the game focuses around protagonist Rick, a college student trapped inside a living nightmare. Rick’s girlfriend, Jennifer, has been kidnapped by Dr. West and Rick is left mortally wounded. In desperation Rick frantically searches the room only to find a mask calling out to him promising him... more.Crazy Taxi Review

The Dreamcast's reign was brief, but in the mere two years it was available, it was home to some of the most wonderfully unique games ever released: Jet Set Radio, Rez, Seaman, Chu Chu Rocket, Power Stone, Space Channel 5, Shenmue... the list is endless. One of the most successful of this ilk was undoubtedly SEGA's own Crazy Taxi, the fast, frantic arcade racer, one of only a handful of Dreamcast ... more.
