The theoretical Half Life 3 logo, seen previously on a Valve employee’s t-shirt at the beginning of the month, has appeared on a website named Black Aperture with the page title “Status: Mark 7″.
No doubt this will have fans everywhere jumping for joy but, given that the domain name was registered by a Mr. David Hassen who doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Valve, their excitement may well be premature.
The Half Life 3 image itself, which carries all the usual Valve symbols such as icons for Steam and the Source engine, links to the official Half-Life 3 website, which itself forwards to the website of The Orange Box.
We’ve thrown Valve a line for some clarification on the matter.
